About Veronica

I’m a filmmaker, artist, and production designer currently completing my B.F.A. at SCAD. Before transferring to SCAD, I worked my way through community college while gaining hands-on experience in the film industry, including working as a production assistant on professional sets in Los Angeles. That combination of industry experience and formal training shapes the way I teach.

Throughout my academic career, I’ve received multiple scholarships and awards for my artwork and portfolio. My professors have consistently recognized my craftsmanship, conceptual thinking, storytelling, visual communication, collaboration, and work ethic. They’ve described me as detail-oriented, hardworking, well-prepared, and someone who consistently goes above and beyond.

More than anything, I genuinely love learning and making art. I work across a wide range of mediums because I believe each one teaches you something different about observation, storytelling, and creative problem-solving. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive environment where students feel challenged, encouraged, and excited to keep creating.

About the lesson

Every lesson is tailored to your goals, skill level, and interests. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or refining a portfolio for college, we’ll build a plan that works for you.

I teach drawing, painting, sculpture, production design, filmmaking, film history, visual storytelling, and pre-production. My background spans both fine art and film, so I enjoy helping students make connections across disciplines while developing strong technical and creative skills. Whether you’re interested in life drawing and realism or abstract and experimental work, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow.

For students applying to art or film school, I also offer portfolio preparation. I can help you develop ideas, strengthen your technical abilities, curate your strongest work, and build a portfolio that reflects both your skills and your unique artistic voice.
