About Miruna

I am an EFL teacher with broad teaching, training and language assessment experience in business, language schools and higher education across different cultural environments. I relocated from Amsterdam to the South of France (Var, Cotignac) in 2018 together with my husband, who took early retirement from the corporate world. We had been coming here to our secondary home for a few years when we lived in Zurich and then Amsterdam, and now we call Cotignac home. In the last 14 years, since I moved back to Europe from the US, I have specialized in teaching business and legal English as well as exam preparation courses in language schools, tertiary education and business environments. I have also specialized in creating and developing course syllabi, teaching materials and assessments. This included leading teams of lecturers to achieve this as well as the direct management of the English department, which included recruitment and people's professional development.

About the lesson

Since our arrival in France, I have been working as a freelancer teaching various courses to private and business clients face-to-face as well as in companies and on Skype / Zoom. SPEAKING and getting the message across! Test - teach - test! Not presentation - practice - production! I am multilingual which includes English, French, Spanish, German, Romanian, Serbian and Croatian. I am communicative, flexible and creative and have excellent organizational skills. I set high standards for myself and I always look for ways to improve what I do because I am quality driven. I am a professional and motivating teacher and I strive to encourage both my students and my colleagues to achieve excellence. With me, you will not experience your traditional way of learning English. Your language learning journey will be a self-discovery.
