About Jayanthi

My name is Jayanthi.

I am a Mathematics teacher with an MSc and a B.Ed in Mathematics, and I have spent over 20 years doing one thing: helping children understand Math in a way that actually sticks.

I did not fall into teaching. I chose it, and I have never looked back. There is a specific moment that happens with almost every student I work with, usually a few weeks in, where something clicks and you can see it on their face. That moment is why I do this.

I grew up with a deep love for Mathematics. Numbers made sense to me in a way that felt almost like a language. Over the years, I learned how to translate that language for children who had been told, or had started to believe, that Math simply was not for them. It is always for them. They just needed the right guide.

Today I teach more than 10 students online across Canada, covering Grade 1 through Grade 10, fully aligned with the Canadian curriculum. Every student I work with gets my full attention, a structured approach, and a teacher who genuinely cares whether they improve.

I am patient. I am thorough. And I do not move on until your child is ready to move on.

About the lesson

My name is Jayanthi, and I want to be honest with you about something most tutors will not say.

Most children who struggle with Math are not bad at Math. They just never had someone explain it in a way that made sense to them. That is the only difference. And that is exactly what I fix.

I have been teaching Mathematics for over 20 years. I hold an MSc and a B.Ed in Mathematics. Right now I am actively teaching more than 14+ students online across Canada, from Grade 1 all the way through Grade 10, and the results speak for themselves.

Here is what a typical lesson with me looks like:

I do not walk in with a pre-made plan and deliver it regardless of how your child is doing that day. I start every session by finding out exactly where your child is stuck, what they understood, and what is still foggy. Then I teach to that gap. We work through it together, step by step, until the concept clicks, not just on paper but in their head.

I teach every Mathematics topic in the Canadian curriculum from Grade 1 through Grade 10. Number sense, fractions, ratios, algebra, geometry, linear equations, data management, early functions. Any school board. Any province. Any topic.

Here is what parents notice after a few weeks with me. Their child stops avoiding the Math homework. They stop saying "I just don't get it." They start showing up to sessions ready, because for the first time, Math feels like something they can actually do and reaching the answer feels exciting.
