About Roopam

I am a patient and structured tutor who enjoys helping students understand subjects that often feel difficult at school. I completed my Master’s degree at University College London and bring many years of experience in technical roles where clear thinking, problem solving and analytical skills were essential. I have mentored learners of different ages throughout my career, and I understand how important it is to explain ideas in a way that makes sense to each student. My strength lies in breaking down complex topics into simple steps, which helps students who need clarity, calm teaching and steady guidance. I approach every lesson with a focus on confidence building. Many students come to me feeling unsure about Maths or Science, and with consistent support, they start to enjoy the subjects and improve their grades. Parents often appreciate the structure, reliability and regular progress updates. I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace while still being challenged to grow.

About the lesson

My lessons are calm, structured and designed to help students understand concepts clearly rather than memorise them. I use simple explanations and step-by-step methods that make Maths and Science less overwhelming, especially for students who struggle with pace or confidence. I begin each lesson with a quick review of the previous topic, followed by clear explanation, guided examples and independent practice. I use visual breakdowns, worked problems and exam-style questions to build both understanding and accuracy. A typical lesson lasts one hour, with longer sessions available during exam preparation periods. My approach works well for students who benefit from patient teaching, clear structure and regular feedback. I hold a Master’s degree from University College London and have long experience mentoring learners in logical reasoning, scientific thinking and problem solving. My background helps me connect school concepts with real examples so students understand why a method works, not just how. These lessons are suitable for KS2, KS3 and GCSE students in Maths, Physics and General Science. I support both learners who want to strengthen fundamentals and those aiming for higher grades.
