About Vaani

I’m a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Physics, deeply passionate about bridging science and the arts. My approach is holistic and interdisciplinary, with a strong focus on the role of physics in art and restoration. I specialise in exploring how light interacts with pigments, how materials age, and how we can use physical principles to preserve cultural heritage. In my sessions, I often draw on art historical examples to connect scientific concepts with visual culture. I introduce students to non-destructive testing methods such as infrared reflectography and X-ray fluorescence, helping them understand how we study art without harming it. We explore topics like the reflectivity of gold leaf, the refractive index of varnishes, and the molecular structure of paint layers. My work is particularly valuable for art history students, conservationists, and anyone curious about the hidden science behind masterpieces. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Physics is centred on building strong conceptual understanding through active learning and practical problem-solving. I focus on core areas like Newtonian mechanics, forces and motion, energy conservation, and kinematics. I also cover topics such as rotational dynamics, fluid mechanics, work and power, and laws of motion. Each concept is broken down into simple parts, followed by real-life examples to help students see how the laws of physics apply around them. I use hands-on illustrations and step-by-step strategies to strengthen their problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and approach problems with logic and clarity. My sessions are interactive and student-focused, ensuring they are fully involved in the learning process. I work especially well with students who are Theorists and Career Re-aligners, helping them bridge the gap between concepts and application. Support is always consistent and tailored. I help students improve their exam performance, complete assignments with confidence, and gain a clear view of the mechanics behind everyday phenomena.
