About Luma

I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and hold an MSc in Nuclear Physics. Over the years, I have developed a unique approach that integrates geophysics and earth sciences into physics practice. My lessons often connect core physical principles with real-world applications such as plate tectonics, seismic wave behaviour, and climate physics. I teach students how to analyse the Earth’s structure, atmospheric dynamics, and geological processes using data analysis and scientific models. This approach makes complex concepts easier to understand while showing their relevance in everyday life. I also guide students in connecting theoretical physics with practical challenges in environmental and planetary sciences. Much of my work has been with environmental science students and those curious about planetary science, where I emphasise the physics behind Earth’s changing systems. I encourage curiosity and analytical thinking so students can see physics not only as a subject but as a lens to understand our planet. My goal is to help learners gain both knowledge and confidence. By blending physics with earth sciences, I support students in becoming well-rounded thinkers. Together, we will develop insight into our dynamic Earth and prepare you to be a confident physicist with a broad perspective.

About the lesson

My teaching approach in Physics is designed to make complex ideas simple and clear. I focus on building strong foundations through phonetic accuracy, active listening, and plenty of repetition so that concepts stay with you. Physics is not just about numbers and formulae—it is also about curiosity and understanding the world around us. I cover a wide range of areas, including thermodynamics, quantitative physics, astronomy, celestial mechanics, cosmology basics, and space exploration physics. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level, ensuring progress step by step. I also bring my skills as a tech enthusiast and inventor into the lessons, making explanations more practical and relatable. My goal is to refine your understanding of the cosmos while making learning engaging. You will learn not just to solve problems but also to discuss ideas about the universe with confidence. Repetition and active involvement in discussions will help you remember and apply concepts better. With dedication and clear guidance, I help students excel in exams, assignments, and overall learning. By combining patience with structured teaching, I ensure steady growth in knowledge and confidence.
