About Harry

Hey! My name is Harry, and I have just completed an MSc in Environment, Development, and Politics at the University of Birmingham, having already achieved a BA in History and Political Science. I value professionalism in all forms of tutoring, but would like to stress that this will be a safe space where all voices are heard. For many of you, GCSEs and A Levels are periods of mental exhaustion and general stress, which I hope to alleviate and turn into success. Some things about me that are interesting are that I love music and used to play in a band. I enjoy running and reading also. Some of my favourite books are 'The Master and the Margarita' and 'Requiem for a Dream.'

About the lesson

I am relatively new to the tutoring process, with my experience being an English Language Assistant in Spain. However, what I lack in experience, I make up for in passion and a drive to help others avoid some of the pitfalls I myself experienced in Secondary School. My teaching will revolve around 30-minute sessions where I will support you in any form of study you need, such as: - Essay writing - Revision Prep - Understanding academic material - Specific historical understanding and context - GCSE and A-Level coursework support - Or potentially how to write a personal statement for either History or Politics degrees My qualifications are: New College Swindon A Level: - History: A - Sociology: B - Politics: C - EPQ: A University of Birmingham BA History and Political Science: Upper Second Class Honours University of Birmingham MSc Environment, Development, and Politics Upper Second Class Honours These lessons will mainly be for students in A-Level courses covering History and Politics, as well as GCSE History. However, the lessons will focus on helping those who are struggling achieve academic success.
