About Aubrey

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Chemistry. My passion lies in helping students understand the fascinating world of polymers and materials. I work with learners who are curious about how everyday substances like plastics, rubbers, and composites are created and improved. In my sessions, I emphasize the mechanisms of polymerization, showing how small molecules combine to form large, functional structures. I guide students through different types of polymerization and explain how reaction conditions can affect the outcome. This makes it easier to see how chemical processes influence the final material. I also highlight the connection between molecular structure and macroscopic behavior. For example, why some materials are flexible while others are tough and heat-resistant. By linking theory with real applications, students develop both understanding and appreciation for the science behind materials. My approach is clear, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I encourage questions and problem-solving, ensuring that learners feel supported as they explore advanced concepts. Together, we work not just on exams or assignments, but also on developing a mindset for innovation. Chemistry is at the heart of modern materials, and I want my students to feel confident in exploring it. With the right guidance, you can design, imagine, and shape the materials of tomorrow.

My teaching approach in Chemistry is relaxed, clear, and focused on real-world applications. I believe students learn best when concepts connect directly to practice. Whether it is organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, or industrial chemistry, I guide learners step by step with patience.

I place strong emphasis on instrumental analysis, making techniques like spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV-Vis) and chromatography easy to understand. Students also gain confidence with quantitative analysis methods, seeing how data becomes meaningful through experiments. These areas often seem complex, but with the right approach, they become powerful tools rather than obstacles.

I also support learners in related fields, including genetics and microbiology. Many students struggle to connect laboratory chemistry with their own research, but I help bridge that gap. By linking chemical principles with lab techniques, I make chemistry relevant to their work and studies.

My sessions encourage curiosity and problem-solving. I use simple explanations, real lab examples, and practical case studies to keep lessons engaging. Students are free to ask questions, revisit difficult topics, and practice until concepts are mastered.

The goal is not only exam preparation or assignments, but also long-term understanding and skill. With structured guidance and application-focused teaching, students build confidence and excel in both academics and lab work.
