About Hazel
With over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Physics, I focus on physics in art conservation. My teaching covers light-pigment interactions, material analysis, and scientific principles behind restoration. I incorporate non-destructive testing and historical examples to make lessons practical. I work with students in art history, conservation, and cultural heritage studies. Lessons emphasize observation, experimentation, and analytical thinking. I guide students in applying physics concepts to real-world preservation challenges. Feedback and practical exercises build confidence and understanding. Together, we uncover the scientific principles behind artistic masterpieces. My goal is to make physics both engaging and meaningful.

My teaching method focuses on practical inquiry and reflective learning. I cover lab techniques, data analysis, error handling, and scientific reporting. Students learn to plan and execute experiments confidently. I provide feedback to refine skills and understanding. Lessons emphasize observation, analysis, and logical reasoning. I support curiosity-driven learners in discovering their unique approach. Experiments are linked to real-life examples for engagement. Students gain confidence in interpreting results accurately. I teach methods to improve efficiency and precision in labs. Together, we develop practical, hands-on skills. Lessons balance guidance with independent thinking. Students strengthen conceptual understanding and problem-solving.
