About Dhruv
I am a Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics student at the University of Warwick, and I have been tutoring in Maths and Economics for the last 3 years. I graduated high school in India, achieving an overall grade of 96.2% across five subjects, with 99% in Economics and 95% in Maths.
I have taught students from drastically different social, economic and academic backgrounds. Even though I pride myself on being able help students with prior academic strengths take one step further and exceed their expectations, I am better known for being able to give academically weaker students the extra push they need to achieve their academic aspirations.
I have mentored several of my juniors at school not only in terms of their academics, but also in terms of creating a schedule that best suits their interests, balancing assignments and extra-curriculars and even filling their college applications.
I have even had the privilege of teaching underprivileged children across government-run schools in rural areas of Karnataka, India, and I may not have ever enjoyed doing anything as much as I enjoyed the sensation of making a small difference in someone's life just by sharing my knowledge.
Apart from Maths and Economics, I studied Physics, Chemistry and English at high school, and I would also be willing to help out with doubts in those subjects.

My teaching methodology purely depends on the students I'm teaching. In the past I have used presentations, personally catered notes, exercise sheets, test papers, and quizzes to make my lessons informative and enjoyable. I do not depend solely on textbooks and online materials, but I also focus on the fundamental concept behind each topic, and its practical application.
I usually take 1 hour or 2 hour long lessons at a go, depending on the student(s), to ensure that I am not pushing them out of their comfort zone. However, I do expect my tutees to be punctual, and to complete assignments previously given to them.
