I usually like to make a little bit of small talk first then get into what they worked on that day. If they had no struggles that day then we would move on to what they are still currently struggling with via free online resources edited to be easier to understand and work through. I know people struggle with math and as such I always try and teach the easiest and most understandable way, it usually only takes 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on how skilled at the concept and how much of it there is to go over.
