About
Hi, I’m Bella, a Business student at Monash University in Melbourne, originally from Guangzhou, China. Mandarin and Cantonese are both my native languages, and I grew up using them naturally in everyday life.
I decided to teach because I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing not only the language itself, but also the culture and everyday expressions behind it. As someone who has also had to study and live in a second language, I understand how difficult it can feel to speak when you are worried about making mistakes. I hope to make learning feel relaxed, encouraging and genuinely enjoyable!

I teach both Mandarin and Cantonese as native languages, and I’m happy to explain not only what sounds correct, but also what people actually say in real life! I want you to feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes and asking questions, rather than feeling like you are sitting in a formal classroom:)
