About Tharun

Hello! I'm Tharun Balaji, a passionate biology educator and researcher currently pursuing my Master's in Molecular Biology and Evolution at Kiel University, Germany. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Genetics from Bangalore and have hands-on experience in biological research, scientific writing, and mentoring students.

I am also the founder of HydraGen, a startup dedicated to supplying research materials and training research scholars in laboratory techniques and research methodologies. My experience includes working on research projects and contributing to scientific publications.

I enjoy teaching because I believe biology becomes fascinating when students understand the concepts behind it rather than simply memorizing facts. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop critical thinking, and connect classroom learning with real-world research and applications.

I teach Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and related subjects using real-life examples, diagrams, research papers, and problem-solving sessions.

As a B.Sc. graduate in Microbiology and Genetics, founder of a research-focused startup that trains research scholars, and a current Master's student in Molecular Biology and Evolution at Kiel University, Germany, I bring both academic knowledge and real research experience into every lesson. My goal is to help you build confidence, think scientifically, and truly understand biology—not just pass your exams.

My fee is ₹2,000 per hour for one-on-one online sessions.
