About Neil

I used to struggle with math and science, so I understand how challenging these subjects can feel. Over time, I developed strategies that helped me succeed, and now I enjoy helping others do the same. I have experience tutoring, including working with a group of five students for the SAT—each of them went on to score above 1500. My approach is patient and personalized, focusing on breaking down concepts in a way that’s easy to understand. I’m here to support and guide students, showing them that with the right tools and mindset, they can excel too!

About the lesson

I focus on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment tailored to each student's needs. My teaching emphasizes understanding the "why" behind concepts, rather than just memorization, and I incorporate real-world examples to make lessons relatable. I encourage active participation through questions and discussions, helping students build confidence and critical thinking skills. Once students understand the "why" I also provide them with helpful tricks and quicker ways of doing problems. What Sets Me Apart: - Comprehensive Experience: As a top 25 high school senior with 12+ AP courses, I understand the challenges students face and offer practical strategies to succeed. - Diverse Expertise: I combine academic tutoring in math, science, and SAT prep with music instruction, making me a well-rounded educator. - Adaptability: I offer both in-person and online lessons, and I tailor my approach to each student’s learning style and pace. Who the Lessons Are For: - Math and Science: Middle school to high school students (up to Algebra 1 and Biology and Chemistry). - SAT Prep: Students preparing for the SAT, focusing on English, writing, and math sections. - Violin: Beginners to intermediate players seeking to improve technique, music reading, and repertoire. Whether you're aiming to ace an exam, understand a challenging topic, or improve your violin skills, I am here to guide you through every step.
