About Valentina

I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 3 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over this time, I have taught 150-200 students, helping them develop their English skills, confidence, and academic performance. I find great joy in seeing students grow, overcome challenges, and achieve goals they once thought were impossible.

My teaching philosophy is centred on making lessons interactive, practical, and tailored to each student’s needs. I use real-life examples, exercises, and discussions to develop speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills. I also focus on building confidence and communication skills, so students can engage effectively in both academic and social settings.

Some of my proudest moments include students delivering presentations in English, improving their grades, and speaking confidently in conversations. Witnessing these milestones reminds me of the impact that patience, encouragement, and personalised guidance can have on a student’s learning journey.

I aim to create a motivating and supportive learning environment where students feel inspired to explore, make mistakes, and grow. Teaching ESL is my passion, and I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential while enjoying the learning process.

About the lesson

I follow a student-centred and practical teaching methodology. Using real-life examples and case studies, I make English lessons meaningful and relevant, helping learners see how language applies to everyday life, academic tasks, and professional contexts.

I emphasise motivation, inspiring students to stay engaged, set goals, and enjoy learning. Problem-solving is a key element, enabling learners to tackle challenges in grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and writing with confidence.

Integrity is central to my teaching. I provide honest feedback, maintain a safe and supportive environment, and foster trust with students. I also practise flexibility, adapting lessons to each student’s pace, interests, and learning style.

Besides ESL, I teach subjects like communication skills, professional English, and study strategies to create a well-rounded learning experience. My goal is to help learners gain confidence, independence, and practical English skills.
