About Karan
If you're looking for someone who simply explains syntax or helps you finish assignments, I'm probably not the right teacher. My goal is to help you become a confident programmer who understands how software really works.
Over the past few years, I've dedicated countless hours to studying computer science fundamentals, modern C++, the C programming language, Linux systems programming, concurrency, memory management, and performance engineering. I enjoy diving deep into topics rather than learning them at a surface level, and that's exactly how I teach.
Every lesson is carefully prepared, interactive, and adapted to your current level. I encourage questions, focus on building intuition, and make sure you understand the reasoning behind every concept instead of asking you to memorize solutions. Whether we're discussing pointers, templates, multithreading, operating systems, or debugging, you'll always know *why* something works—not just *how* to write it.
I'm committed to providing a professional learning experience. I'll be punctual, well-prepared, and invested in your progress. My aim is to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and steadily improving your programming skills.
Whether you're a beginner, a computer science student, or someone looking to strengthen your C and C++ skills, I'll work with you to build a solid foundation that will continue to benefit you long after our lessons are over.

My teaching philosophy is simple: I never compromise on understanding. My goal is not just to help students write code that works, but to help them understand *why* it works. I believe that strong programmers are built on strong fundamentals, so every topic is taught from first principles before moving on to more advanced concepts.
A typical class begins with the underlying theory, followed by practical examples and hands-on coding. Rather than asking students to memorize syntax or library functions, I explain what is happening under the hood—how memory is managed, how the compiler interprets code, why certain algorithms or data structures perform better, and how operating systems and hardware influence software performance. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the session and make sure every concept is understood before moving forward.
My teaching focuses heavily on writing clean, modern, and efficient code. Depending on the student's level, classes may include debugging techniques, build systems, testing, performance analysis, modern C++ features, Linux development, concurrency, and systems programming concepts. Whenever possible, students learn by building real projects instead of solving isolated textbook exercises.
What makes my teaching different is my emphasis on depth and quality. I don't believe in rushing through a syllabus or teaching shortcuts that lead to superficial understanding. Instead, I aim to build intuition so that students become confident, independent programmers who can solve unfamiliar problems on their own.
My classes are suitable for high school students interested in programming, university students studying computer science, professionals looking to strengthen their C or C++ skills, and anyone who wants to learn systems programming or build a solid foundation for software engineering and technical interviews.
