About Sharlene

Beginners who feel most anxious are actually the ones I am most equipped to help succeed. My work as a PhD candidate in Chemical Physics at Imperial College London centres on dismantling the fear surrounding lab and practical work or equation balancing.

Having taught 281 students has reinforced that homework help and conceptual learning are rarely about speed but rather about the clarity of the initial foundation. I draw on my own academic journey to explain electrochemistry and thermochemistry in ways that feel approachable. We spend time on the mole concept and periodic table and trends while prioritising numerical problem solving. My own path was shaped by a mentor who insisted on thoroughness, so I carry that same patience into every interaction with those I guide.

Analysing your performance through mock tests with error analysis before exams allows us to catch small mistakes before they snowball. You should expect a direct conversation about your current pace and the specific areas where you lose points. I prioritise structural integrity in your answers. My 10 years of experience have shown that catching these patterns is key.

We focus on how to refine your responses so they reflect the depth of your actual knowledge. My goal is to ensure you feel prepared for final assessment.

Practice is essential. I want to see you walk into that exam room feeling completely ready for whatever questions appear on the page. We will build your confidence by systematically addressing every gap in your current understanding until the material feels manageable and clear.
