About Mike

I offer vocal coaching for all levels, whether you're a beginner or a professional, and specialize in Popular genres.
My lessons are tailored to the needs of each student, incorporating healthy techniques and stage performance skills engagingly and enjoyably to help them achieve their personal goals.
I am a multi-skilled musician with a Certificate in Music from the Victoria College of Music and Drama, Grade 2, Popular in Vocals (RSL), Piano and Music Theory (grades 1,2,3). My experience also includes work as a soloist, backing vocalist, instrumentalist, and producer; with a background in singing in gospel choirs, bands, and concerts. I have collaborated with some of the most well-known performers and also produced music for many gospel artists.
I am keen to share the skills I have developed over the years to support others with their musical development. Some of the key things we will cover in the lessons are:
- Vocal anatomy
- Body and Vocal exercises
- How to practice
- Proper posture
- Correct breathing practice
- Switching between registers
- Widening range
- Preventing straining and hoarseness
- Working on stage presence and confidence

About the lesson

Music is an art that requires expression and connection to inspire excellence and good performance. I will connect with my student, first to understand their strength and weakness, this will enable me to help them improve.
I will be offering my vocal lessons. I will teach you to sing at the beginner level. I will help you to develop your musical hearing, and your vocal knowledge and teach you how to breathe correctly. I will be your vocal coach and teach you all the secrets about singing and how to safely own your main instrument. I will share all the wisdom and knowledge I’ve accumulated over my 20 years of training to the best of my ability
I have also enjoyed the rare privilege of teaching students (5 to 16 years) and adults rudiments of music, singing, and music making on Piano, Recorder, bass guitar, and percussion.
