About Erica
My name is Erica I have been a public school teacher since 2019. I have taught 7th and 8th grade math and love being a teacher. I went to UC Davis for my bachelors degree and received my teaching credential from Cal State Los Angeles. I strive to show my students that we use math in our everyday lives, and to show the relevance of the math they're learning, while instilling confidence that they are scholars and can succeed if they put their mind to it.

I have taught 7th and 8th grade math in a classroom, and the way I approach tutoring is similar to the way I approach the classroom. I try to ensure the student has conceptual understanding of the math, so the procedural makes sense. I like to do consistent review during tutoring sessions as well, so students can bring confidence to their classroom. I can teach all middle school math and Algebra 1, as well as elementary math and reading.
