About Casey
I'm a middle school special education teacher in Rochester, NY who has been addicted to chess since college. I am a self-taught, Class A player. I've recently worked for the Rochester Chess Center coaching kids at chess camp, where we coach some of the top kids in the country (including the #1 rated 9 year old in the US!). I enjoyed it and would like to help out anyone who wants to learn! I love teaching and talking about chess and putting my 10+ years of knowledge to use.

For beginners, the focus is usually on opening principles, basic tactics, checkmates and endgames. For intermediate players--pawn structures, when to trade, evaluating positions, plans and endgames.
