About Marina

I was born and raised in New York City, attending mostly project-based schools. After high school, I went to Bard College where I focused on Environmental and Urban Studies. Directly after graduation, I started a Master's Program in teaching History. Following this, I worked in a Middle School teaching 7th and 8th grade U.S. History for five years. What made this experience interesting, is that this school offered the New York State Regents exam, so I feel very comfortable with test prep. Currently, I work at a remote, inquiry, and project-based high school teaching 9th and 10th-grade Humanities. I look forward to working with you

About the lesson

Learning looks and feels different for every student. I believe in inquiry-based learning techniques that honor each student's interests and skills. On top of supporting students in the academic areas they struggle with, it's important for us to establish work, study, and organization habits that will help you be successful long after you graduate. We will work together to find the best approach for you!
