About Michael
I have Qualified Teacher Status as well degree and postgrad qualifications. I have been a musical instrument tutor for over 20 years.
Every student is different, they learn in their own way and in their own time. I respond to the wishes of each student and guide them towards their own goals.
At each lesson I assess and suggest how much of what kind of work each student can do before the next lesson. I make sure that they are able and have enough time in their week to fit the work in. I know that a small amount of progress achieved regularly will build not only skills but also confidence.

I teach fretted instruments (electric guitar, bass guitar, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, ukulele) and melodeon. I teach theory during lessons, in small easy steps. I have over twenty years experience teaching these instruments. I studied the stringed instruments with Trinity and ISoM, and I taught myself to play the melodeon.
