About Trinity

French is part of an eleven-year tutoring career during which I have taught 540 students, ranging from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for demanding examinations. My teaching philosophy is shaped heavily by my background in classical music training, where I learned firsthand how short, consistent daily practice produces far better results than occasional long sessions, a principle I now apply directly to language learning. I am a structured but warm tutor, believing steady, well-organized progress produces more reliable long-term results than sporadic intense study. Many students arrive frustrated by slow progress elsewhere, and rebuilding a clear, structured sense of direction is usually my first priority. Former students frequently update me on their continued use of French years later, which remains genuinely rewarding to hear.

About the lesson

My French lessons follow a structured, layered approach, introducing grammar systematically while ensuring every rule is immediately practiced through natural conversation. I begin with a short diagnostic conversation to identify a student's specific strengths and weaknesses before designing a tailored lesson plan rather than following a generic syllabus. Vocabulary is grouped into thematic clusters connected to real situations, which consistently improves retention compared to isolated word lists. I encourage daily short practice routines outside lessons rather than infrequent long study sessions, mirroring the consistency-based approach I use across all my teaching. Progress is tracked in detailed long-term notes, allowing me to adjust pacing precisely as a student's confidence develops over time.
