About Maria
Hi, I’m a medical student at the University of Manchester with a friendly, patient and approachable personality. Outside university, I enjoy playing the piano and violin, keeping active and spending time with friends and family.
I have always been passionate about learning and enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds. I would describe myself as positive, dependable and easy to talk to, and I aim to make those around me feel comfortable and supported. Whether I am studying, pursuing my hobbies or helping someone overcome a challenge, I bring enthusiasm, patience and genuine care to everything I do.

- My tutoring approach is friendly, structured and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying their strengths, knowledge gaps and preferred learning style, before creating lessons that build both understanding and confidence.
I break difficult topics into clear, manageable steps and use diagrams, worked examples, active recall and exam-style questions to reinforce learning. I regularly check understanding throughout the lesson and adapt my explanations until the student feels comfortable with the topic. I also teach effective exam technique, including how to interpret questions, structure answers and avoid common mistakes.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s age and goals.
I am a medical student at the University of Manchester and achieved A–A* grades across my GCSEs and A levels, as well as scoring within the top 10% nationally in the UCAT. I have experience working at a tuition centre with children from age three through to GCSE level, alongside providing one-to-one private tutoring to students of different ages and abilities.
My lessons are suitable for primary school, secondary school, GCSE and A-level students. I can also support students preparing for the UCAT, school entrance examinations or those who simply want to strengthen their confidence and academic foundations.
