About Javier

I am a former Chemistry student at the University of Chile and I am currently doing my clinical internship to finish my Medical Technology degree at UNAB.

From a young age I was interested in science, but I never had the support to understand the world of work and the implications of a scientific career. For this reason, when I had the opportunity to enter the University of Chile, I did it blindly, trusting in prestige more than in my own dreams or aspirations. This caused great disappointment in me and disenchantment with the social and bureaucratic barriers imposed by certain models of university study.

I met many people from many different careers and understood the implications and differences between theoretical sciences and those applicable on my own. When I finally discovered what I wanted to do with my life, I chose a career that mixed all my interests, mainly chemistry and biology, and I put them into practice every day in a laboratory, not just on paper and calculations like many other sciences do.

Now, about to enter the job market as a medical technologist specializing in "BACIMET". I want to take the opportunity to guide someone with the help I needed but never had. before a full-time job prevents me.

About the lesson

I dedicate myself to science!!!
I consider that those who need a private teacher, not only seek to reinforce their learning with more hours of supervised study, but also need to develop their own learning methodologies. Under this concept, I try to adapt to the particular qualities of each student and guide them by giving support and answering their queries not only regarding the subject in progress but also the projection that each one seeks in their careers and their goals in life.

As a teacher, I am tolerant of any age range or personality. As long as cordiality is maintained, I don't mind entering into conversations. all in order to better empathize and support the student so that a study session does not become a boring obligation, but an opportunity to share knowledge in a dynamic and entertaining way.

I consider that my methodology and my knowledge in science (mainly chemistry and biology) can be adapted to any student between the range of high school up to the first years of university.

I can offer two types of program

1.- focused on academic performance:
We develop material according to the subjects that the student wants to promote. relying on the material that your teacher gives you or searching for and developing your own material according to the study units that are being carried out. this in order to improve their preparation for the moment of taking evaluations or doing papers and presentations.

2.- focused on general scientific training:
We distribute our study hours in different areas of science, seeking to complement shortcomings that can be generated when there is difficulty in understanding certain concepts within some subjects that have to do with other sciences. for example as the interaction of chemistry with biology in pharmaceutical studies. this in order to integrate knowledge and develop a more specialized specific profile in the student.
