About Amaan

I am a UK medical student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Having achieved high grades at GCSE and A-level, I understand both the academic demands of these courses and the strategies required to achieve top results.

I am a patient, organised, and supportive tutor who tailors each lesson to the individual student’s needs. My teaching style focuses on building a deep understanding of key concepts, strengthening exam technique, and developing confidence over time. I believe that with the right guidance, clear explanations, and consistent practice, every student can make meaningful progress.

I take a professional and structured approach to tutoring, ensuring sessions are well planned, focused, and goal-driven. I provide regular feedback, set targeted homework when appropriate, and track progress to make sure students are continually improving.

Above all, I aim to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. My goal is not only to help students achieve higher grades, but also to build skills and confidence that will benefit them throughout their education.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is structured, student-centred, and exam-focused. I aim to build strong conceptual understanding first, then reinforce this with exam-style practice and active recall. I break complex topics into simple, logical steps and check understanding frequently through questioning.

I use a mix of:

Guided explanations using clear models and analogies

Worked examples followed by independent practice

Past-paper questions with step-by-step feedback

Retrieval practice and spaced repetition

Targeted exam technique (mark schemes, common pitfalls, timing)

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s ability, learning style, and goals. I regularly assess progress and adjust the pace and focus accordingly.
