About Josh

I am 25 years old, I am very enthusiastic, I love design and technology. My favourite specialism is Graphic Design. I am a regular gamer and I follow football and am an avid Tottenham Hotspur fan (unfortunately). I have been a GCSE teacher for 3 years now and last year I achieved exceptionally high results.

My Approach to Teaching
I believe that Media Studies is more than just studying; it's about immersing yourself in the world around you. My teaching style is designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun. I aim to spark curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the media landscape.

Rather than simply delivering information, I focus on building a strong foundation of media literacy. We'll dissect everything from blockbuster films to social media trends, exploring the messages, techniques, and impacts behind them. Through a combination of discussion, analysis, and practical exercises, you'll develop a keen eye for spotting media's influence and the ability to articulate your own perspectives.

Lesson Structure and Content
My lessons are typically one hour long and structured to provide a balance of theory and practical application. We'll start by diving into key concepts and theories, breaking them down into easily digestible chunks. To reinforce understanding, we'll then apply these concepts to real-world examples, encouraging you to think critically and form your own opinions.

My Qualifications and Experience
With a Degree in Media Production, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. My passion for media combined with my teaching qualifications ensures that you'll receive expert guidance and support.
