About Francesca

I am a first year student at the University of Bath however I completed my secondary studies in Brussels, Belgium. I love maths and stem related subjects and would be happy to teach these subjects. At my school I received the equivalent of an A* in maths, physics and chemistry. I would also be happy to teach any of these three subjects in French (I have the equivalent of a C1 level).

About the lesson

When it comes to teaching I like to go for a thorough approach and use the Feynman method (wherein a student must not only be able to regurgitate knowledge but be able to convey information using concise thoughts and simple language). I’d like to think that I am not teaching rather a facilitator of learning. As my physics teacher used to say:
“Learning is not filling a bucket but lighting a fire.”
This is my philosophy when it comes to tutoring and helps me to this day when learning new things.
I also offer tutoring subjects in French because I believe it is equally important to learn languages through practice as well as linguistic lessons.
