About Giulia

Hi! My name is Giulia Bernardini, and I am a second-year Economics and Mathematics student at McMaster University. I have a strong academic interest in behavioral economics and analytical problem-solving, and I enjoy applying both logical and intuitive thinking to understand how people make decisions.

Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong skills in mathematics, data analysis, and economic reasoning. I am particularly passionate about breaking down complex concepts into simple, clear steps, making them easier to understand and apply. Whether it’s working through problem sets or explaining theory, I focus on clarity, structure, and building a strong foundation.

I take pride in being approachable, dependable, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to build their confidence in their abilities and develop skills that will benefit them long-term.

About the lesson

I am a patient, reliable, and approachable tutor who is deeply committed to helping students build both confidence and independence in their learning. I strongly believe that education is not a one-size-fits-all process and that every student learns differently. My role is to adapt my approach to meet their individual needs.

My teaching methodology is centred on creating a supportive and comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and actively engaging with the material. I focus not only on improving academic performance but also on building motivation, critical thinking, and long-term learning skills.

Having personally experienced challenges with motivation in my academic journey, I understand how discouraging learning can feel when approached from a negative perspective. It was through the support of a tutor who believed in me that I was able to rediscover my potential and develop a genuine enjoyment for learning. This experience shapes my approach today as I aim to instill that same sense of confidence and curiosity in my students.
