About Tatiana
I am currently completing my PhD in Literary Study at the department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at McGill University (Montreal, Canada). The focus of my dissertation is on the phenomenon of laughter in the Soviet Comedy films through late 1980s. I have a four years of teaching experience at McGill University, and eight years of teaching private classes in Russian language. I am also holding Master and Bachelor degree in Film Study from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada). At the same time, I was lucky to participate in a various film production projects.

I have an extensive teaching experience of World Cinema, History of European Cinema, Russian Language and Russian Literature of XIX century from the time I was a student at McGill University. Close collaboration with the leading scholars and equally great teachers such as Michael Cowan, Ara Osterweil, Anna Berman and Laura Beraha laid solid foundation for my unique pedagogical approach. I truly believe that learning has to become a powerful instrument for students’ self-discovery. For this purpose, I will be very happy to create a dynamic, stimulating and creative atmosphere in class.
