About Obed
I hold an honours degree in Accounting Science (B.Compt. Honours) (UNISA) and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). Over twenty years I have acquired extensive work experience at executive leadership in General, Strategic, Finance, Corporate Finance and Fleet management, both in the private and public sector. This has contributed to my depth in understanding these disciplines and their application in the real business world.
My achievements in this role includes, but not limited to, successfully setting up a Fleet Department from scratch, implementing a Fleet Management Information System (FMIS), and chairing bid committees, among other responsibilities. This experience has given me varied skills and it is my ambitions to shares my experience and bridge the academic and practical work experience

My preferred methodology is project based learning where students spend a period of time (e.g. days, a week or more) on projects to gain in-depth knowledge about the task. The projects will be relevant meaningful to give students freedom to go in-depth on areas of interest.
Students will be expected to work independently and in groups using their own intellect and resources to learn. By doing personal research, students ‘construct’ knowledge in their minds knowledge for practical application.
Concepts will be discussed and further developed in group discussions.
