About Ricky

Hello! My name is Richard, and I am an MD and MBA graduate with a passion for education and student success. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have worked with students in a variety of settings, including tutoring, mentoring, leading review sessions, and classroom instruction.

I believe that learning is most effective when students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, strengthen their understanding of biological concepts, and develop study strategies that serve them both inside and outside the classroom.

About the lesson

My teaching approach centers on helping students truly understand biological concepts rather than simply memorizing information. I begin by assessing a student's current knowledge, learning style, and academic goals, then tailor each lesson to address their specific needs.

A typical lesson includes reviewing key concepts, working through practice questions or real-world examples, identifying areas of confusion, and developing effective study strategies. I encourage students to actively engage with the material by explaining concepts in their own words and applying them to new situations, which helps build long-term understanding and confidence.

What sets me apart is my combination of medical training, teaching experience, and student-centered approach. As an MD and MBA graduate who has tutored, mentored, and led review sessions for students across a variety of educational levels, I understand both the content and the challenges students face when learning it. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

My lessons are well-suited for high school, college, and university students studying Human Biology, General Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, introductory health sciences, and related subjects.
