About Mira

I have spent the past 9 years teaching Maths with a focus on building deep understanding and long-term confidence. I hold an M.Sc in Industrial Mathematics, which has given me a strong background in both theoretical ideas and real-world applications. My academic training helps me explain complex topics in a simple and structured way. I enjoy helping students see how Maths connects to science, technology, and everyday problem solving.

My teaching style is calm, supportive, and concept-driven. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas without pressure. I use step-by-step reasoning, visual explanation, and practical problem breakdowns to help learners progress steadily. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or aiming for advanced mastery, I tailor lessons to their goals and pace.

Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with mathematics through applied modelling, reading modern research, and exploring interdisciplinary uses of algebra and calculus. Teaching is meaningful to me because I get to watch students transform uncertainty into clarity. I want every learner to feel not only skilled in Maths, but also confident, curious, and prepared to succeed in any path that requires strong analytical thinking.

About the lesson

Maths becomes enjoyable when students stop seeing it as a list of rules and start seeing it as a way of thinking. In my lessons, we focus on understanding ideas deeply rather than memorising formulae without meaning. I guide students through algebra, geometry, functions, and calculus using clear explanations and practical examples that make concepts feel real. Each class is designed to feel active and engaging, with plenty of space for questions and exploration. I encourage learners to discover patterns, test their reasoning, and build confidence step by step. The goal is not just to get answers, but to understand why the answers work.

My teaching approach adapts to every level. Beginners receive patient support with foundations like number sense, equations, and basic geometry. Intermediate students strengthen multi-step problem solving, graph interpretation, and structured reasoning. Advanced learners explore deeper topics such as calculus applications, probability thinking, and exam-level strategies. We use visual tools, guided practice, and challenge questions to keep progress steady and motivating. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities, not failures.

Over time, students develop a stronger relationship with Maths. They begin to approach problems calmly, think more clearly, and trust their own ability to improve. Many learners discover that Maths is not about speed alone, but about insight and practice. My mission is to help every student feel capable, supported, and proud of their growth as they build lasting mathematical confidence.
