About KEN

With over 15 years of experience as a dedicated maths tutor, I have helped students of all ages build confidence, improve numeracy skills, and achieve outstanding academic results. I specialise in making complex mathematical concepts easy to understand through clear explanations, structured lessons, and personalised learning strategies. My teaching approach focuses on developing strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and a positive attitude towards mathematics. Whether supporting students preparing for exams, strengthening foundational skills, or advancing higher-level maths knowledge, I am committed to helping every learner reach their full potential. My passion for education drives me to inspire success and foster a lifelong appreciation of mathematics.

About the lesson

I would like to take this opportunity to express my interest in teaching Maths as a Private Tutor. Having a genuine interest in helping to solve real problems that affect children, young people and adults. I have fifteen years’ experience teaching Maths to Primary, Secondary and Adults. I have worked for different Colleges and Training companies teaching GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths at both Level 1 and Level 2.
I have over ten years’ experience teaching Primary and Secondary school children Maths.
Being a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to teach students who functioned below-, on-, and above grade level. I have been very successful at accommodating diverse student needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualised and extracurricular support, and integrating effective materials.
I encourage learning by using a number of different manipulatives, hands-on activities, and various forms of technology. By incorporating class discussions, open-ended questions, and cooperative learning I am able to facilitate a highly interactive and inquisitive class atmosphere.
Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude at all times and working together as part of a team with other professionals to solve complex problems are also part of my personal skills. Other personal skills include being self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines when working alone, understanding the need for confidentiality and always adhering to the highest ethical standards possible.
I am very excited about working for your organisation, I can make a difference to learners’ lives and seeing them achieving their goals.
