About Marisa
Hi, my name is Marisa and I currently tutor Maths and Science for years 2-10, for year 11 and 12 students I can tutor up to year 11 human bio, year 11 and 12 Maths general or application. I currently tutor two students who have brought their grades from a 'c' to a 'b' so far. I recently finished year 12 in 2017 and received the dux award for Maths. I am currently studying nursing. I have a current working with childrens check and police screening. I am located in Bibra lake but am happy to travel (within reason), please don't hesistate to message me with any queries.

Typically when tutoring students I cater to their individual learning style. I don't find going through homework very helpful as this is something the students should be doing anyway, however if they find they need help with a few questions in particular of course I am happy to help. I usually work on the subjects outlined by the classroom teacher in the term plan, see what they are good at and what they need help with.

Marisa has tutored my son who is in year 10 in Maths for almost a year and has helped him with understanding any concepts he struggles with. She is able to explain things and work through problems in a manner that enables him to improve his maths knowledge while still having a laugh. We have known Marisa for 5 years and she has grown into a lovely, helpful young woman. We would recommend Marisa as a tutor as she is knowledgeable, patient and makes the sessions interesting.
