About Julia
I studied Mathematics at the University of Bath, which was something I never imagined doing. In fact, I didn't even think I was going to take A-level maths, because I didn't think I'd be good enough.
I remember how difficult I found lessons at school and I always felt like everyone else in the class was smarter than me. I always needed things explained to me more than everyone else in the class.
A few years ago, I volunteered tutoring GCSE maths and I loved being able to help students improve their maths skills because I know what it feels like to find it difficult.
But just because you find something difficult now, doesn't mean it will stay like that. Maths is for everyone, and I'd like to help students see that.

I can help with particular GCSE maths topics if you/your child want to focus on something specific. Otherwise, I will prepare some general questions to work through and narrow down which topics to work on from there.
I am friendly and patient and I've worked with year 10 and year 11 students before. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
