About Vicky

I have over 20 years experience in schools, as a Teacher, Lead Teacher, Tutor. My MEd was completed in SEN. I offer a variety of tutor options, from individual sessions, paired, small groups, bespoke learning packages, online, in person. I tutor from home, online and visit family homes.
Sessions are between £20 and £65 depending on the option you choose.

On a practical note, once we have scheduled a session on here I’ll ask you to send me an email. Sometimes emails go into spam. I will always reply and your session isn’t confirmed until we have connected, if I don’t reply please nudge me on here as it is likely that an unknown email address was blocked. Communication is important and I will gather some further information before we meet.
Please also note that the website will only allow one price as standard, to be displayed. I have many packages and options, eg group sessions, paired, individual, online/in person etc. prices displayed are starting prices and if you are looking for a specific option you can ask me the coatings.

I tutor Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

About the lesson

I tutor from Reception up to GCSE, for Maths, English, Year 6 SATs, some sciences and Humanities, including everything in between such as handwriting, writing, phonics, EAL, spellings, times tables, etc. I also tutor towards entrance exams for all the local grammar schools and private schools, from 7+ right through to 13+, with excellent pass rates. I also tutor children who are home-schooled. I offer homework and feedback after every session. I tutor term-times and some optional dates in the school holidays too. All my sessions are bespoke to the individual, take into consideration learning styles and the level students are currently at. My philosophy is to build a good working relationship with my students, nurture trust and build confidence. Once a child feels safe, knows it is acceptable to make mistakes and builds resilience, then the magic happens and they make progress.
