About Tasnim

Hello, I’m Tasnim! I’ve worked in the Civil Service for over five years and also gained valuable experience working in a start-up environment. I studied Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London, and come from a strong academic background including Maths and Sciences. I’ve always had a passion for learning, and even more so for sharing knowledge and helping others grow. Teaching allows me to combine these passions by supporting students in building their skills, boosting their confidence, and reaching their academic goals. I find it incredibly rewarding to see students thrive when they build their knowledge and their hard work begins to show results.

About the lesson

Virtual Tutoring in Maths, Science & Economics: I'm an Economics and Finance graduate and I offer engaging, personalised online tutoring sessions in: 1) Economics, up to Bachelor’s degree level 2) Maths, Biology, and Chemistry – up to A-Level Teaching Style & Methodology: My teaching method is student-led and results-oriented. I tailor each session to focus on the areas students want to improve in, which involve going through a summary of the topic then guiding the student through questions they find challenging and consolidating learning through regular review. I aim to build confidence and understanding by helping students to comprehend complex theories and subjects better. Lesson Duration: Standard lessons are 60 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust depending on goals. Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Economics and Finance, obtained a First. Strong background in Maths and Sciences, obtained A*AA at A-Levels. Previous tutoring experience with GCSE students and primary school students where I had consistent positive feedback from both students and parents. Parents noted improved class engagement, subject understanding, and academic performance Who the Lessons Are For: GCSE and A-Level students in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry and University students in Economics. I can also tutor primary school students in Maths, Science and English. These tutoring sessions will be delivered virtually and are for those who wish to improve in a subject area, who are preparing for exams and seek to build confidence and close knowledge gaps.
