About Juvan
I'm Juvan, a Year 11 student from Southend High School For Boys. I study Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry – not because I have to, but because I genuinely find them interesting.
I want to teach because I remember how frustrating it can be when a topic just doesn't click. I've sat in lessons feeling lost, and I know the difference it makes when someone explains something clearly and patiently. That's what I want to offer – not just answers, but real understanding.
I'm not doing this just for the money. I genuinely enjoy helping someone go from confused to confident. It's a good feeling, watching things fall into place for them.
I'm reliable, I listen, and I don't give up on a problem until it's solved.

I'm a Year 11 student with a strong interest in how things work – whether that's algebra, code, or chemical reactions. I offer tutoring in Maths, Computer Science, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for 11+, KS3, and GCSE students.
My approach: I don't just re-explain the textbook. I try to find where the confusion actually starts and work up from there. If a student doesn't understand a topic, it's usually because one small piece didn't click earlier – so I focus on finding that piece. I'm patient, I don't rush, and I'm happy to explain the same thing in five different ways if needed.
Lesson length: Anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes – whatever works best for the student's focus and schedule.
Who it's for: Students preparing for 11+, KS3 (Years 7–9), or GCSE (Years 10–11). I currently teach Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry at those levels.
My experience: I'm not a career tutor – I'm a student who recently sat these exams myself. That means I remember exactly what feels hard and what exam boards actually ask for. I've also helped younger students informally through my family and friends, where I've learnt how to explain things clearly and stay patient under pressure.
I charge £15 per hour, but the first session is free. That gives you a chance to see if my style works for your child – no pressure, no obligation.
