About Syed

Hello! I'm Syed, a passionate and results-driven tutor specialising in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics up to A-Level. I hold an MEng in Engineering from Imperial College London, one of the world’s leading STEM universities, and currently work as a Lead Software Delivery Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover.

With years of hands-on experience in the engineering and automotive sector, I bring real-world applications to the subjects I teach, helping students connect abstract concepts to practical use. My role at JLR involves complex problem-solving, data analysis, and software systems — all grounded in strong mathematical and scientific principles.

I tutor students from GCSE to A-Level, offering personalised, structured, and engaging lessons that focus on:

Strengthening fundamental understanding

Mastering exam techniques and problem-solving strategies

Building confidence and independent thinking

Achieving target grades and beyond

Whether you're aiming for top grades, trying to improve in challenging topics, or preparing for university-level studies, I adapt each lesson to suit your goals and learning style.

I offer both online and in-person sessions (in Coventry), and I’m available during evenings and weekends. My hourly rate is flexible and open to negotiation, as I believe in making high-quality tutoring accessible.

If you'd like to chat or book a trial lesson, feel free to get in touch!

About the lesson

In our lessons, my primary goal is to make complex Maths, Further Maths, and Physics topics easy to understand while building strong problem-solving skills and boosting confidence. I tailor each session to your unique needs, whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with specific concepts, or aiming for top grades.

What to Expect:
Clear Explanations: I break down difficult topics into easy-to-follow steps, ensuring you fully grasp the concepts.

Interactive Problem-Solving: We’ll work through practice problems together to strengthen your understanding and prepare you for exam-style questions.

Focused Exam Preparation: I’ll help you develop key strategies for approaching exam questions, time management, and stress-free revision.

Tailored Approach: Every student learns differently. I adjust my teaching methods to suit your pace and learning style, focusing on areas that need improvement.

Lesson Structure:
We’ll begin with a brief review of your progress and goals.

The bulk of the lesson will be dedicated to teaching and practising the topic at hand.

At the end, we’ll recap and discuss any areas of difficulty, and I’ll provide homework or extra resources if needed.

Whether you're studying for GCSE or A-Level exams, I aim to make learning engaging and stress-free, helping you feel confident in your abilities.

Let’s unlock your potential together!

Syed is a brilliant tutor. Having known him for quite some time I have only heard positive comments from parents and students as we both taught at a tuition centre in London. He is very attentive and a good listener to students' questions. Thus he explains difficult concepts very easily.
