About Sophie

I am a practiced tutor for both A-Level and GCSE, though I have a student in KS3 too. My degree combines Maths, something I’m good at, with Philosophy, something that keeps me thinking and exploring. These mean I’m great at explaining complex mathematical principles in an easily understandable form, tailoring my explanations for different people. So, if you're not sure about getting tutoring, just send me a message and I will help however I can!

I do logic to degree level in my Philosophy half so am comfortable tutoring that too.

When I’m home I coach gymnastics to a variety of different ages, and continue with sports myself at university. Outside of my subject I’m also learning German as I might want to live in Berlin after I graduate. I love to read, mostly fiction books, but occasionally economics. My favorite books as a child (they are actually still my favourites) were Skulduggery Pleasant and the Gone series.

About the lesson

If you want clear explanations for one-off questions you're stuck with, or simply to go in depth in areas you find confusing or want to explore, I'm perfect!

I am a practiced tutor for both A-Level and GCSE, though I have a student in KS3 too. My teaching style depends hugely on the student, for example, teaching a mature student or a KS3 student. It also depends on subject. If you have specific questions you'd like explained or if you have an entire topic you want to cover.

I do have a cancellation policy, it's the same as Tutorful's (another tutoring website). If you cancel more that 12 hours before there's no charge, within 12 hours it will be half price.
