About Maida
I am currently enrolled at the university of the Witwatersrand and doing my last year in teaching, maths and IT are my favourite subjects but also good in physics. I have over 5 years experience tutoring students from my neighbourhood and my degree sends me to schools every year for formal teaching experience. Most learners I taught were in grade 12 and managed to pass mathematics from a failing level. Overall from 2017 to 2020 I had 15 students and I was an independent tutor.

my teaching methodologies are based on three learning styles, visualization ,sounds and text based. On a sense that the problems that I bring for learners to solve accommodate a picture, video or a case study scenario. Mathematics is Knowledge dense subject hence I use the pedagogy of moving from the unknown to the known, meaning I familiarised learners with the concept that maths can be related to their everyday knowledge.
