About Dawid

As a musician and composer, I have a strong passion for teaching, performing, and creating music. I enjoy taking on challenges and finding solutions patiently. I value meaningful relationships and am always open to listening and considering others' ideas. I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, so during school, I found joy in helping my classmates, and they found my support valuable. I'm a responsible young adult, a quick learner, and can easily adapt to new situations. When assisting others, I prioritise setting realistic yet challenging goals to amplify their development. I motivate them to persist even in the face of mistakes, emphasising that giving their best effort is key to making progress - furthermore helping develop their confidence in their own skills. When teaching I also focus on learning to play under pressure and thinking quickly, as this is key to performing in live situations and further developing musical ability. I am also a Jehovah's Witness and am actively engaged in conducting voluntary Bible studies.

Throughout my final year of education, I dedicated significant time to assisting teachers in both music and maths classrooms. I supported students of various skill levels and abilities, and my responsibilities extended to creating educational aids like PowerPoint presentations to support their learning. I have been able to support students all the way from not playing an instrument at all, to playing it live at school events. In some situations, my teachers even let me direct lessons to give me more practice and experience in teaching. I have also had the opportunity to play in various orchestras, bands, and ensembles, performing at various events and venues. Additionally, I took charge of the preparation and technical aspects for these events. These various experiences further developed my passion for music, which led me to start teaching drums, music theory, and composition theory.

About the lesson

Maths, a subject that can sometimes appear daunting and uninteresting, is often misunderstood. However, it is important to note that this perception is far from the truth. In reality, maths has the potential to be both enjoyable and fulfilling. While it may require some effort and dedication, the rewards that come from mastering mathematical concepts are truly remarkable. By delving into the world of numbers, equations, and problem-solving, you can unlock a whole new realm of knowledge and understanding. Maths provides a unique opportunity to develop critical thinking skills, logical reasoning, and analytical abilities. Moreover, it plays a fundamental role in various aspects of our daily lives, from managing personal finances to making informed decisions. By embracing the challenges that maths presents, we can discover the beauty and excitement that lies within this subject.
