About Nicole Basetsana
I am a Mathematics university student.
My love for maths developed in high school because of the amazing teacher I had. My dream is to pass on the gift and expose learners to the beauty of mathematics. Maths is a cool subject. I tutor Mathematics to 9th grade learners. I'm also part of an amazing university organisation where a group of maths students meet on a weekly basis to discuss and debate about mathematics related subjects and their application in real life.

I firstly introduce the ideas of a new concept to learners.
Create a problem and ask how they would solve it. Then that gives me a chance to explain to them why I'm teaching them the concept. What its use is and why they need to know it. I then go on to solve problems and ensure that the learners engage as well.
Then I give them problems to solve. After every class, I make a summary of what we learnt and let them know of the key things they should grab from the discussion.
The golden rule in my classes is that they are more than welcome to stop me anytime when they don't follow what's going on. There is no stupid question. And I make sure that I reiterate all the important facts.
