About Farid
I am an experienced mathematics tutor with over 18 years of teaching background, working with high school students, Olympiad candidates, and international programs such as IB.
I hold a National Silver Medal in the Mathematics Olympiad, which shaped the way I think about problem-solving: deep understanding over memorization, structure over shortcuts. This mindset is the foundation of my teaching style.
Over the years, I’ve helped students not only improve their grades, but also build mathematical intuition, confidence, and independence in thinking. I focus on concept-based learning, multiple-solution approaches, and clear reasoning — especially important for IB students and advanced learners.
I started teaching because I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps and watching students reach those “aha” moments. My goal is to help students achieve exam success, while also feeling comfortable and confident with mathematics in the long run.
My classes are online, structured, and interactive, and tailored to each student’s level and goals.

My SAT Math lessons are concept-based and fully personalized to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. I focus on clear mathematical thinking rather than memorizing formulas, helping students truly understand what they are doing.
I design my own lesson notes and slides to match the SAT structure and question styles. Lessons are typically 90 minutes long, with 60-minute options available if preferred. I work with high school students (Grades 9–12) and SAT candidates, and all lessons are conducted online.
