About Clietin

Hi, I’m Clietin, a Computer Science graduate from the University of Johannesburg (UJ), which is widely regarded as the top Computer Science program in South Africa. I achieved 80% in Matric Mathematics and was awarded the Moshal Scholarship. During my studies, I consistently received awards for excellent academic achievement across multiple years.

I specialize in helping learners truly understand Mathematics rather than memorizing steps. My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, logical explanations that build long-term understanding and confidence.

I am a patient and supportive tutor who adapts to each learner’s pace. My lessons are structured, clear, and exam-focused, often including guided practice, homework, past exam papers, and study guide questions to strengthen performance and exam technique.

I also believe learning should be engaging and enjoyable. I like to keep lessons interactive and light where appropriate, and it’s completely normal to laugh and enjoy the process, while still maintaining focus, structure, and professionalism.

I work with high school learners of all levels, whether they are aiming to improve their marks, pass confidently, or achieve distinctions. My goal is to make Mathematics feel simple, understandable, and manageable through consistent practice and real understanding.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on helping learners deeply understand Mathematics instead of memorizing steps. I break down concepts into simple, logical parts until they become easy and intuitive. I also assign targeted homework and work through past exam papers and study guide questions to build exam readiness and confidence.

A typical lesson includes concept explanation, guided practice, and exam-style questions, along with practical advice on how to approach tests and manage time effectively in exams. My goal is to help learners not only solve problems, but understand how to think through them independently.

I teach in English and Xistonga.

My lessons are aimed at high school learners who want to improve their understanding, pass with confidence, or achieve higher marks in Mathematics, regardless of their current level.
