About Alexander
I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics and experience teaching university students. I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa, where I helped students with calculus, differential equations, college algebra, homework, and exam preparation.
I teach in English and Russian. My strengths are clear explanations, patience, and a structured approach. I try to make mathematics less stressful and help students understand the logic behind each topic, not just memorize formulas.

My lessons are calm, structured, and adapted to each student’s level. I usually begin by understanding what the student already knows, then explain the main idea clearly and work through examples step by step.
I can help with high school and university mathematics, including algebra, calculus, mathematical analysis, differential equations, homework, and exam preparation.
During lessons, I focus on understanding, not just memorizing formulas. I encourage students to ask questions and explain their reasoning, because this helps find gaps and build confidence.
My goal is to make mathematics clearer, less stressful, and more manageable for each student.
