About Zane
My journey in mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, numbers, and logical reasoning in the world around me. This curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, where I studied algebra, calculus, probability, and geometry, gaining both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. The experience helped me develop techniques for explaining complex ideas clearly and intuitively to students of all levels.
Over the past 9 years of teaching, I have guided learners ranging from beginners building their foundation to advanced students preparing for exams or competitions. My teaching approach emphasizes patient explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and connecting abstract concepts to everyday examples. I create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas deeply.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy solving mathematical puzzles, exploring applications in science and technology, and reading about new developments in mathematics. These activities enrich my lessons, making them engaging and relevant. Watching students grow from uncertainty to confidence, understanding complex problems and applying logical reasoning effectively, is the most rewarding aspect of my work.

My mathematics lessons are designed to help students gain a strong conceptual understanding while developing practical problem-solving skills. In my lessons, I start with foundational concepts such as arithmetic operations, fractions, percentages, and basic algebra, gradually introducing logical reasoning and application techniques. Students practice solving problems step by step, with guided explanations to ensure clarity.
As students gain confidence, lessons progress to more advanced topics including quadratic equations, geometry constructions, and probability. I emphasize connecting concepts to real-world scenarios, so learners can see how mathematics is applied in everyday life, science, and technology. Interactive exercises, visual aids, and consistent feedback help students internalize methods and strengthen their analytical skills.
