About Adrija

Hi, I'm Adrija!

I'm an Economic Analyst in the UK Civil Services, with a First Class BSc degree in Economics and an MSc from the London School of Economics (LSE). My day job involves working with data, statistics, and economic analysis, but one thing I've always enjoyed alongside my career is teaching and mentoring.

Over the years, I've worked with students on everything from academics and university applications to career planning and confidence-building through AADAC Education Foundation, an initiative I founded to help students access educational opportunities and mentorship. Seeing students grow in confidence and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach is genuinely one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

I'm currently looking to get back into regular teaching because I enjoy working with students and want to build on my experience in education and mentoring. In the longer term, I'm interested in pursuing teaching and academic support roles alongside my professional career, so tutoring feels like a natural fit.

If maths has ever felt intimidating, don't worry — my aim is to make lessons approachable, interactive, and tailored to your pace. Whether you're aiming for top grades, preparing for exams, or just trying to feel more confident in the subject, I'm here to help.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills rather than simply memorising formulae or procedures. I believe that students perform best when they understand the logic behind mathematical concepts and feel comfortable asking questions.

I tailor lessons to each student's needs, whether they require support with specific topics, exam preparation, homework assistance, or strengthening their overall mathematical foundations. Lessons typically involve a combination of concept explanations, worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I also help students identify common mistakes and develop effective revision and problem-solving strategies.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's requirements and level of study.

I hold a First Class Honours degree in Economics and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics (LSE). I currently work as an Economic Analyst at the UK Civil Services, where I regularly use mathematics, statistics, data analysis, and quantitative methods in a professional setting. Alongside my professional career, I have mentored students through AADAC Education Foundation, supporting them with academic development, university applications, and career planning.

My lessons are suitable for students at primary, secondary, GCSE, A-Level, and introductory undergraduate level. I particularly enjoy helping students who may lack confidence in mathematics and want to develop a stronger understanding of the subject in a supportive and structured environment.
