I am studying Maths at degree level, in my final year. I have knowledge of a wide range of areas of maths and came through the same GCSE and A-level system that I help students prepare for. I recently tutored a student in France preparing for the equivalent of GCSE level maths.

I have a flexible teaching method; I like to continually adapt to each individual and how they learn. I like to use multiple approaches to explain a concept - I often find that explaining from a different angle can clarify something that may have previously confused a student. I want my students to really understand how maths works, not just to learn methods. After explanation comes practice, and I am encouraging when it comes to trying problems, getting them wrong and learning from it to get it right the next time - this is the best way to learn.
